I am not perfect. In being human, I am hurt & as a result I hurt others. Not tit for tat but in defense of a principle that I try to bring across so that I would be understood. At least, I thought I would be. Whichever way, I tend to lose. Whether it’s the point, or the reasoning in not understanding the way God wants me to see His people the way He does or in not being hurt when words are said in defence not malice. It could be that I did not know how to love His people the way He wants me to love them. How do I repair what’s broken & what’s torn? What do you do when you cause a person to lose interest in doing the things that bring joy?
To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.
What profit does he have who works in that in which he labours? I have seen the task which God has given to the sons of men to be humbled by it. He has made everything beautiful in His time; also He has set eternity in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end. I know that there is no good in them, but to rejoice and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; and God does it so that they fear before Him. That which has been is now; and that which is to be has already been; and God requires that which is past. And again I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there. I said in my heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work. I said in my heart concerning the matter of sons of men, that God might reveal them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. For that which happens to the sons of men also happens to beasts, even one thing happens to them. As this one dies, so that one dies; yea, they all have one breath; so that a man has no advantage over a beast; for all is vanity. All go to one place; all are of the dust, and all return to dust again. Who knows the spirit of man that goes upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward? Therefore I have seen that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion; for who can bring him to see what shall be after him?
(Ecc 3:1-22)
God made seasons so that His creation would have a cycle. He also created us to have an aesthetic side, in order to appreciate the beauty of His creation surrounding us like the baby blue skies & the clumpy clouds on a sunny day or the flowers that shout ‘Kiss me! Kiss me, bumble bee! And I will spread for all to see! Water & sunshine are all I need from below me so kiss me to declare the process that be!
To allow a gift to die would be to quench the gift that God had given you to appreciate His artistry. May I ask that you forgive the cause of your loss & resurrect this gift by asking Him to restore your ability to appreciate it…?
