In the next few days or so, you would probably see flashes of different theme configuration here as I tweak the templates from the backend. Trying to get the thumbnails to show up right and the relevant pictures to appear in the slideshow requires different settings and I’m just about to fall flat on my laptop right now. If I can’t complete the transition to the new theme yet, I will periodically revert to what works, the old theme that you’ve been familiar with all these three years. Yes, I haven’t dabbled with my blog’s exterior for some time now. So please bear with me as I go to sleep and take care of everything else when I awake before attempting at this site again. Till then, thanks for coming back!
Update:- You are seeing the final version of the theme change after days of tweaking and updating all the plugins to the most current version and re-activating each one. The pictures were not sized to fit the featured content window and again, it was stalled until I received support from the plugin designer.
I made several selections and wanted to settle with this:-
……but this theme with the sea and such made me change my mind……
……and this was what I really wanted my blog to look like but there was so much tweaking in the backend that it would not do. Thanks to Calvin who stayed up with me to check my website if it looked and worked alright. Your assistance was much needed! Thank you!
So this is it. It’s goodbye to my 3 year old theme. I included another counter at the bottom of the page to track visitors from the 7 Sep when I began the upgrade and 3,536 hits were recorded in 8 days! Wow! If I were to blog daily (I’d love to but I’m already writing so much for my work), and people like you would send the counter rolling like the one-arm-bandit machine!
My blog has attracted some good and bad episodes that I’ve put behind me and I’m ready to take on the rest of 2010 with a new look, a new theme and a renewed mind. Let’s look forward to more adventures from here on! 🙂
I get a mention? weehee.. the pleasure was mine, it was the least I could do
It looks great. But I still prefer Blogger over WordPress. It’s not the best, but it feels like family 😛
