Changing Operating System…..Ins & Outs

Getting accustomed to new things is not easy but nothing is too difficult for a gadget-loving, technology-crazy geek that I am of a girl. Who would have thought that the computer lessons that I took in place of Chinese classes at the age of twelve, would be serving me this way today??? I had been aspiring to own a Mac since the inception of the Dual Core processors which could load both Windows & the native Mac OS & last weekend, I got my swanky new Macbook under a company grant, the rest of which I forked out to obtain the sexy Mouse & a funky bag. I must say, it was the best thing I’ve done. With this break-in period, I would have to stop thinking Windows & put on my best hat forward to think Mac. As with all things in life, if the OS is halting your move forward, it’s best to just get a new machine & install a completely different OS to stop the complications from creeping up on you. Depending your life on Windows, though you are so familiar that you can operate it with your eyes closed, is going to crash on you one day. (It’s done so many times on me, on my previous machines, causing untold grief & heartaches but I was silly enough to get yet another Windows machine then.) No more, as with men, it’s not going to happen again. I’m on a Mac now.

A simpler yet more powerful platform that puts the Blue Screen of Death, a thing of the past. All I see is a screen of vivid colours. And it can take great snapshots of your screen……
