Misdirection of A Missed Direction

After the unexpected outburst of the scientist, our trip was cancelled abruptly causing 10 of us to be stranded at the point of departure. Everyone was VERY upset. We realised & agreed that it might be God’s way of telling us that we shouldn’t be in Gelang Patah at all. The four of us who decided to continue the journey, made our way eastward towards Sg. Lembing waterfalls in Kuantan. As we headed there, there was a massive jam that crawled beyond Bukit Tinggi. Again, we sensed that maybe God is trying to change our destination at 11:45pm. We decided to break the journey in Bentong & spent the night there instead.

After a scrumptious breakfast, we set out to find that afamed Bentong Chamang Waterfalls. And did we find it…..

Mating dragonflies at the hotsprings…..

We found a taufu pok making factory & made our entry with asking permission from three ladies…..

She was busy cutting the cubes to be fried…….

Finally, my childhood question of ‘where taufupok comes from’ was answered here in the dainty town of Bentong, Pahang.

We had tea in a cafe which we patronised just after this taking this picture of the Chinese Town Hall….

Had more cameras than people on this trip…..

Got our directions right & we found the waterfalls!!!

Look at the sheer size of this falls…..

A little kid bathing granddad…..

Encountering many butterflies & bugs along the way…..

Went through the old road to Fraser’s Hill & spent the night at a resthouse that had more moths than guests…..

My laptop had been under repairs since Saturday & for a full account of the trip, please visit Xian Jin’s blog by starting with the Save Our Seahorses? blog right up to the finale.
